Season’s Greetings

The outer neighborhoods in the NYC boroughs are littered with 99¢ stores.  That, and mani-pedi salons and something that resembles deli’s or grocery stores.

I live in Astoria, NY (Queens) and go to the 99¢ stores to save .20 – .60¢ per item on toiletry and discounted Rubbermaid® and Tupperware®.   A personal favorite are the Pyrex® products.  These name brands—so discounted—are a modern, scientific and cultural miracle. 🙂

While there, I came across some well-drawn, Rockwellesque holiday cards that were apparently rejects from yesteryear.  At $1.49 for a box of 14, I dove in and took the risk.

Four hours later and after writing a hundred a thirty-eight headlines that would be non-denominational, currently/culturally relevant, compelling and enlightening, this is what I came up with:

Season's Greetings
BinkNyc: Holiday Card 2013

Wishing you and your family, friends and colleagues:

A Happy Holiday Season.

I hope to work with many of you in the new year.
